India's leading saxophone prodigy Rhys Sebastian is a consummate musician, performer and music producer. His strong musical lineage stems from two generations; Legendary Music Director, Sebastian Dsouza and Merlyn Dsouza. Deeply entrenched in the world of music having contributed to Folk, Traditional, Contemporary and Indian Cinema From Mera Naam Joker to All India Radio, their rich heritage continues to be part of Rhys's musical soul. He has performed the globe over, most recently being with A.R. Rahman in Malaysia

From world folk festivals to indi-pop and Jazz festivals, his International debut began with sharing the stage with the legendary Lionel Richie for the opening ceremony of IPL Games, India. His journey as a young artist was dubbing in Hindi as the singing voice of Mowgli for Jungle Book and the voice of Miriam in Prince of Egypt for Walt Disney and Dreamworks.

His recent rendition of the National Anthem at the NSCI Stadium for Star Sports’ live coverage of the Pro Kabaddi League has been the latest accolade he has received on the National front.

At present, Rhys’ recorded work can be heard in advertisement jingles like Vodafone and Magnum, and  lms like Bombay Velvet, Shaandaar and Dilwale. He has also featured alongside Mikey McCleary and Vishal-Shekhar for studio and live recordings while being the bandleader for ‘The Bartender’. He, along with Merlyn, was recently nominated for Mothers of India Award (with their accomplished children) along withAR Rahman, Sachin Tendulkar, Shankar Mahadevan, Sania Mirza and Yuvraj Singh and others.

Rhys has, and continues to lead musical Ensembles in Jazz, Pop, Fusion and World Music in studios and on festival and corporate stages. His unique sound on the saxophone leaves a memorable impression wherever he goes...creating his very own, sound of music.
